Premium cinema in a luxury smart home

The client’s original concept for the cinema room layout would have required severe compromises in terms of audio and video performance.

Cyberhomes redesigned the room, changing its orientation and introducing a foyer area with bar. This still allowed the same 3.5 m wide screen but with the Dolby Atmos 7.2.4 speaker array now correctly positioned and nothing obscuring the screen from any of the seating in the two tiers.

A TV is located in the foyer area that can show the same content as on the main cinema screen. This is great for sporting events when family and friends can be entertained in both spaces simultaneously.

The client made full use of our 3D render capability to get an accurate impression of what the interior design of the finished rooms would look like prior to any construction starting.

Premium McIntosh processor and amplifiers drive the Triad Gold speaker array, with all speakers hidden behind the acoustically-transparent screen and the stretched fabric walls and ceiling.

The rest of the property also benefitted from smart home technology.

All this home’s technology is integrated into a customisable Control4 automation and control interface. There are three wall-mounted touch screens around the home, along with hand-held remotes and apps on personal devices. Every feature of the home is to hand at all times.
